My topic is dance choreography because it's something I've worked with for a big portion of my life, having been in dance since I was 9 years old. Every dancer eventually grows into choreographing routines for themselves or other people and it ends up becoming a passion to most. That's exactly what has happened to me, being the captain of I-Poly's dance team.
What I hope to accomplish after studying this topic for the entire school year is to walk away a better choreographer because I do hope to one day become a dance teacher sometime in my future, and to better understand the life, philosophies, and work of actual choreographers. I also hope that as I research everything throughout the year, I can achieve my greatest potential as a choreographer for my dance team, in time for the end of the year pep rally.
